17 people infected with COVID-19 after attending birthday and marriage anniversary party in Brajrajnagar, Odisha

NFTV:Odisha: Jharsuguda: In the last 24 hours, 25 people have been infected with Coronavirus in Jharsuguda district. Among these,17 people are from OPM Colony who had infected with Coronavirus after attending a birthday party and a marriage feast. It’s worth mentioning that on the 6th of this month, a couple with their son who had come from Gurgaon were in home quarantine. But this couple had invited the people to their son’s birthday party. later the Gurgaon returnee lady was tested positive with the deadly virus, And thereafter, these people had attended a marriage anniversary party. As this spike of 17 people is from a contentment region; so there is no fear of community spread said Collector Jharsuguda. But the fact remains that organizing of birthday and marriage anniversary party in containment region which led to the spread of Corona considered a violation of containment region. So, two cases have been filed against people who organized parties in the containment OPM colony locality. Meanwhile, Jharsuguda district administration lodged two FIR against both the family for violating COVID-19 norms. The case has been registered under the disaster management act’s section 51, IPC 269, IPC 271, and IPC 188.
