Accident at TPSL sponge iron factory at Lahandabud in Jharsuguda district. Seven workers injured

NFTV:Odisha:Jharsuguda: Seven persons sustained burn injuries in an accident at induction furnace of TPSL sponge iron factory at Lahandabud in Jharsuguda district. factory and boiler department ordered the TPSL management to seal the induction furnace. The mishap took place in an induction furnace on the second floor of the plant at around 9.30 AM today. Seven on-duty workers sustained burn injuries when hot iron fell from the induction furnace on them. The injured workers are identified as Rabi Shankar, Ananda Sahu, Ganesh Swain, Ranjit Singh, Sumant Majhi, and Sahdev Patel were first taken to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) Jharsuguda. There is no burn unit in DHH Jharsuguda, Four of the injured workers were shifted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) Rourkela, says CDMO, Jharsuguda. Meanwhile, the Factory and boiler department ordered the industry to seal that Induction boiler where the accident took place.
