Coronavirus: Health Minister Odisha failed to maintain social distancing during Jeeban Bindu program

NFTV: Odisha: Jharsuguda: When the world has been observing social distancing to get rid of Corona pandemic. And in pursuance to that both the Government of India and state government of Odisha have issued strict instruction to implement social distancing for all strata of the society. While Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been lauded for his proactive role in combating Corona pandemic and he has been very persuasive over his social media accounts with his regular video messages appealing people to maintain social distance;

interestingly his own party leaders which includes two of his top brass Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and Brajrajnagar MLA Kishore Mohanty had been seen standing side by side shoulders to shoulders with party workers at Jharsuguda district office of BJD where the party was holding blood donation camp Jeeban Bindu .

In these photos and videos being shared by party leaders show that right from cutting of the ribbon by health minister to the conglomeration where party workers come together to encourage blood donation. It’s really a paradoxical situation where BJD supremo and Chief Minister has been appealing for social distancing, at the same time the party leaders and workers feel no necessity to obey social distancing in their public life at their own party office in Jharsuguda. Moreover, the photos and videos shared of this blood donation programme on social media is somewhat giving a message which contradicts the very essence of social distance in this lockdown period.
