Coronavirus: Odisha CM announces one-week lockdown of five districts and eight cities

NFTV:Odisha:Bhubaneswar: Viewing the swift spread of Coronavirus ( COVID 19 ) in-country, today Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik announces complete lockdown in five districts for one week from tomorrow and eight cities across the state. The lockdown will be enforced on the 22nd of March from 7 AM to 29th of March at 9 PM. The lockdown will be in force in the districts of Khordha, Cuttack, Ganjam, Kendrapara, Angul and the eight cities are Puri, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Jajpur Road, Jajpur Town, and Bhadrak.

Emergency service like hospitals, clinics, medical shops, grocery shops, restaurants ( home deliveries and takeaways ) vegetables, meat and milk shops, bread, and bakery but the selling of tea,coffee and other beverages in the same premises have to be probated Railways, Bus stands, Airports and public transport will remain open.

Taking all necessary measures to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus, Odisha state government has closedown schools, hostels, shopping malls, daily and weekly markets .

India has so far recorded 258 COVID-19 cases.
