NFTV:Odisha:Rourkela:Rep: Rajan Sharma: Western Odisha gets its first COVID-19 Hospital in Rourkela of Sundargarh district. The state government has today initiated 3rd dedicated COVID-19 hospital at Hi-tech medical college and hospitals in Rourkela. This 200 bedded COVID hospital includes isolation wards, ventilator support and ICU.  The Hospital will be managed by the Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Rourkela. The facility including food, Treatment, and accommodation, will absolutely be free.

The supplementary support including equipment and manpower is funded by DMF Sundargarh. The hospital management has also launched a toll-free number 1800 345 7106 for the public to get any information or to report anything related to COVID19. The Hospital becomes operational on Friday in presence of Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, CDMO Sundargarh district Dr, Saroj Kumar Mishra, COO Hi-Tech hospitals and medical colleges Dr, Sushant Kumar Acharya and other dignitaries from the district administration and officials and medical team of Hi-Tech medical college and hospitals were present. State Government has decided to open another COVID-19 hospital in the Sundargarh district headquarter. Although the district administration converted all the PHCs and CHCs into isolation centers. The administration has made isolations center in each and every Gram panchayats in the district.
