Legendary actor Dilip Kumar passes away

NFTV: Bureau: Legendary actor Dilip Kumar passes away at the age of 98. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital in June and was later discharged. He was again admitted to the hospital on June 30 for complaining problem in breathing.

Dilip Kumar made his Bollywood debut with the movie named Jwar Bhata, which was released in 1944. He featured in successful movies like Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Ganga Jamuna and others. His last movie was Qila, which was released in year 1998. He was born in Peshawar ( Current day in Pakistan).He tied the knot to Saira Banu and lived in Mumbai. He was bestowed with Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. The Government of Pakistan honoured him with Nishan-e-Imtiaz. He also served as a Member of Parliament.

The veteran actor’s family confirmed the news of his death a few minutes back and wrote on Twitter: ” With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago.  We are from God and to Him, we return. – Faisal Farooqui.”
