Eight new COVID-19 positive cases reported in Jharsuguda district, tally reaches to 271

NFTV:Odisha:Jharsuguda:  Today Jharsuguda district reported 8 new COVID-19 positive cases. With the detection of these 8 COVID-19 positive cases, the number of positive cases reached 271 in the district. All the positive cases are asymptomatic.

The cases are reported from: 03 from Brajrajnagar Municipality, 02 from Jharsuguda Municipality, 01 from Jharsuguda Block,Lakhanpur Block 01 and 01 from Laikera Block.

Cases are from Brajrajnagar Municipality:

Case number 1 and 2: One 45 years old male and 15 years old female both are tested positive for COVID-19. Both the positive cases were returned to Brajrajnagar from Bihar, after their arrival at Brajrajnagar both are under institutional quarantine at Saraswati Sishu Mandir TMC. Swabs of both the cases were taken on the 23rd of July and tested positive on the same day. Both the positive cases are taken to a dedicated COVID facility and the cases are asymptomatic. Contact tracing is in progress.

Case number 3: One 32 years old male tested positive for COVID-19. The positive case was returned to Brajrajnagar from the Ganjam district of Odisha on the 20th of July, after his arrival at Brajrajnagar he was under institutional quarantine at Netaji Bhawan TMC in Brajrajnagar. His swab was taken on the 23rd of July and he is tested positive on the same day. The case is an asymptomatic one and taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing in progress.

Cases from Jharsuguda Municipality:

Case number 4 and 5: One 47 years old male and 28 years old male tested positive for COVID-19 in Jharsuguda. Both the cases contact case of a previous case and both are under institutional quarantine at Jharsuguda Railway colony high school TMC. Swabs of both the cases were taken on the 23rd of July and tested positive on the same day. Both the positive cases are taken to a dedicated COVID facility and the cases are asymptomatic. Contact tracing is in progress.

Case from Jharsuguda Block:

Case number 6: One 22 years old female tested positive for COVID-19 in Hirma of Jharsuguda Block. The positive case is the contact case of a previous case. She was under institutional quarantine at Hirma TMC. Her swab was taken on the 23rd of July and she is tested positive on the same day. The case is an asymptomatic one and taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing in progress.

Case from Laikera Block:

Case number 7: One 70 years old male tested positive for COVID-19 in Bidmal village of Laikera Block. The positive case is a local case and not have any travel history. His swab was taken on the 23rd of July and he is tested positive on the same day. The case is an asymptomatic one and taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing in progress.

Case from Lakhanpur Block:

Case number 8: One 33 years old male tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhikampali High School TMC. The positive case was returned from Tamil Nadu on the 17th of July, after his arrival he was under institutional quarantine at Bhikampali High School TMC. His swab was taken on the 23rd of July and he is tested positive on the same day. The case is an asymptomatic one and taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing in progress.
