DPIIT secretary Guruprasad Mohapatra dies of COVID related complications

NFTV: Bhubaneswar: Odia IAS and DPIIT secretary Guruprasad Mohapatra died due to COVID related complications . Guruprasad Mohapatra was a 1986 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. Guruprasad Mohapatra had also worked as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce. Here he did a lot of work for the promotion of the Special Economic Zone. Guruprasad Mohapatra was also the chairman of the Airport Authority. He had given a new direction to the airport authority to move forward. On 1 August 2019, he became the secretary of the Department of Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the demise of DPIIT Secretary, Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra.
