Batting first India scores a huge total of 340-6 , opener Shikhar Dhawan scores 96 and Rohit Sharma made 46 runs . KL Rahul’s 80 runs while captain Virat Kohli played a good knock of 78 runs .
Australia made a brisk start and appeared good to chase the target of 341 runs but remarkable bowling by Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav contained the Australia team and tilted the game in India’s favour. Kuldeep Yadav picked up his 100th ODI wicket today, bowled the Australian danger man Steve Smith out at 98. Marnus Labuschagne too departed soon for after making 46 runs .
Mohammad Shami picked up three wickets and conceded 19 runs in his last over as Kane Richardson hits him for 19 runs in 49th over of the match. Ravindra Jadeja, Navdeep Saini and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket even though he was the most economical bowler in the match.
The series is currently tied at 1-1 as Australia had won the first ODI.
