NFTV:Odisha: Jharsuguda: Today Jharsuguda district administration sealed five nursing homes for violating COVID-19 norms for private hospitals, allegedly. The nursing homes are one each from Belpahar and Brajrajnagar and three from Jharsuguda. The nursing home from Brajnagar is Nibedita Sewa Sadan. The nursing home from Belpahar is Ashirwad nursing home. The nursing homes from Jharsuguda are Agrawal nursing home, R.K. Multi care, and Lakhya care. According to the district administration, there are many allegations against these nursing homes for not obeying the guidelines meant for the private hospitals for this COVID period. On the order of Jharsuguda district collector Mr. Saroj Kumar Samal, Mr. Jogendra Majhi Deputy collector, Jharsuguda along with officials of health department and police force sealed these nursing homes. Mr. Majhi told the media, These nursing homes failed to maintain the COVID-19 guideline meant for the private hospitals, as the private hospitals are treating other patients and many amongst those patients are not obeying social distancing even not wearing mask Meanwhile these nursing homes also failed to convince or failed to enforce these rules in their places too. Mr. Majhi raised a vital point that in between these COVID periods many health workers and staff of private hospitals tested positive for COVID-19 and many hospital were sealed. These nursing homes are sealed for uncertain periods until the next order issued by the district magistrate.
