NFTV:Odisha: Jharuguda: Jharsuguda district crosses 200 COVID-19 positive cases mark with the detection of 24 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours. With the detection of these 24 COVID-19 positive cases, the number of positive cases reached 207 in the district, according to Information and Public Relations department government of Odisha. All the positive cases are asymptomatic. Meanwhile, out of 207 total 163 patients are recovered and 44 cases are active now.
12 cases from Brajrajnagar Municipality, 04 cases are from Belpahar Municipality, 04 cases are from Jharsuguda Municipality, 01 case from Jharsuguda Block, 02 cases from Laikera Block and 01 case from Lakhanpur Block.
Cases are from Brajrajnagar Municipality:
Case number 1,2,3: One 50 years old male along with his 14 years old son and 39 years old brother returned to Brajrajnagar from Saranggad of Chhattisgarh in a rented taxi. After their arrival on the 10th of July in Brajrajnagar, they were under institutional quarantine in Black Diamond school TMC in Brajrajnagar. Swabs were collected on the 12th of July and all the samples are tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. All the cases are asymptomatic and these positive cases are taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number: 4: The positive case is 28 years old male, he was returned to Brajrajnagar from Sasaram of Bihar by riding a motorbike on the 09th of July. After his arrival in Brajrajnagar, the case was under institutional quarantine at Black diamond school TMC in Brajrajnagar. His swab was collected 12th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and he has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 5,6,7,8: The positive cases are 26 years old male, 57 years old female, 60 years old male, and a 32 years old female. They were returned to Brajrajnagar from Bhojpur of Bihar by hiring a Bolero SUV, after their arrival in Brajrajnagar all four-person were under institutional quarantine at Black diamond school TMC. Swabs were collected on the 12th of July and all the samples are tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. All the cases are asymptomatic and these positive cases are taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 9: The positive case is a 22 years old detected from IB Pit area of Brajrajnagar area, the case is a local case and contact case of a previous case. He was under institutional qurantine at OPM high school TMC. His swab was collected on the 13th of July and he was tested positive for COVID-19 on 16th of July. The case is an asymptomatic one. The patient has been taken to dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 10,11: The positive cases are a 50 years old male and a 46 years old male. Both are returned to Brajrajnagar from Bihar on the 04th of July, after their arrival in Brajrajnaagar both are under institutional quarantine in Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir TMC in Brajrajnagar. Swabs were taken on the 14th of July both of them tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July. Both the cases are asymptomatic and these positive cases are taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 12: The positive case is a 38 years old female, The case is a contact case of a previous case. The case was under institutional quarantine at Hill Top DAV school TMC. Her swab was collected on the 14th of July and she was tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July. The case is an asymptomatic one. The patient has been taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.

Case number 13,14: The positive cases from Belpahar municipality are a 43 years old female and a 23 years old male, They were returned to Belpahar from Rajgangpur of Sundargarh district by boarding a Tata Magic. After their arrival in Belpahar on the 06th of July, both of them are under institutional quarantine at the Vivekananda International school quarantine center. Swabs were collected on the 12th of July and all the samples are tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. All the cases are asymptomatic and these positive cases are taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 15,16: The positive cases from Belpahar municipality are a 20 years old female and a 26 years old male, They were returned to Belpahar from Bihar. After their arrival in Belpahar on the 08th of July, both of them are under institutional quarantine at the Vivekananda International school quarantine center. Swabs were collected on the 13th of July and all the samples are tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. All the cases are asymptomatic and these positive cases are taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.

Case number 17: A 19 years old male returned to Jharsuguda from Patna of Bihar by train on the 09th of July. After his arrival in Jharsuguda, the case was under institutional quarantine at Badhaimunda Ashram School. His swab was collected 12th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and he has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 18: A 28 years old female who was returned to Jharsuguda from Kharagpur via Medinipur by boarding a train. After her arrival in Jharsuguda on the 08th of July, she was under paid quarantine at Hotel Amar in main road, Jharuguda. Her swab was collected 12th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and she has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 19: A 27 years old male who was returned to Jharsuguda from West Bengal. After his arrival in Jharsuguda on the 11th of July, he was under paid quarantine at Hotel Devjani in the main road, Jharuguda. His swab was collected 14th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and he has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case number 20: A 22 years old female who was returned to Jharsuguda from Ganjam district of Odisha. After her arrival in Jharsuguda on the 11th of July, she was under paid quarantine at Hotel Atithya, Jharuguda. Her swab was collected 14th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and she has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.

Case number 21: The positive case is 30 years old male, he was returned to Hirma of Jharsuguda Block from Bihar on the 08th of July. After his arrival in Hirma, the case was under institutional quarantine at Hirma school TMC. His swab was collected 13th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and he has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.
Case from Lakhanpur Block
Case number 22: The positive case is 18 years old female, he was returned to Kanaktora of Lakhanpur block from Chhattisgarh on the 08th of July. After her arrival in Kanaktora, the case was under institutional quarantine at Kanaktora TMC . Her swab was collected 13th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and she has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.

Case number 23 and 24: The positive cases are a 45 years old male and a 39 years old female, both are contact cases of previous positive cases. Both were under institutional quarantine in Laikera TMC. Swabs were collected on the 14th of July and both of them were tested positive for COVID-19 on the 16th of July. Both the cases are asymptomatic. The patients have been taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.
