Jharsuguda district reports 7 new COVID-19 cases tally reaches to 287

NFTV:Odisha:Jharsuguda: Today Jharsuguda district reported 7 new COVID-19 positive cases. With the detection of these 7 COVID-19 positive cases, the number of positive cases reached 287 in the district. Confirmed by ADMO, Jharsuguda.

The cases are reported from: 03 from Brajrajnagar Municipality, 01 from Jharsuguda Municipality, and 03 from Lakhanpur Block.

Case from Jharsuguda Municipality:

Case Number 1: A 54 years old man tested positive for COVID-19 while he is undergoing treatment for fever, cough, and weakness at District Headquarter Hospital, Jharsuguda today. The swabs of the person taken on the 23rd of July and he is tested positive on the 26th of July, later the positive case has been taken to the dedicated COVID facility for further treatment. The positive case has belongs to the Beheramal locality of Jharsuguda.

Cases from Brajrajnagar Municipality:

Case Number 2 and 3: A 50 years old male and a 20 years old male both are tested positive for COVID-19 and both the positive cases are returned to Brajrajnagar from Bihar. After their arrival in Brajrajnagar, both are under institutional quarantine. Their swabs were taken on the 23rd of July and both are tested positive on the 26th of July, later the positive cases are taken to the dedicated COVID facility for further treatment. Both the cases are asymptomatic one and contact tracing is in progress.

Case Number 4: A 30 years old male tested positive for COVID-19. The positive case is returned to Brajrajnagar from Uttar Pradesh. After his arrival at Brajrajnagar, he was under institutional quarantine. The swab of the positive case was taken on the 23rd of July and he is tested positive on the 26th of July, later the positive case has been taken to the dedicated COVID facility for further treatment. The positive case is an asymptomatic one and contact tracing is in progress.

Cases from Lakhanpur Block:

Case Number 5 and 6: One 19 years old male and one 21 years old male tested positive for COVID-19. The positive cases are contact cases of the previous case traced in contact tracing and both the positive cases were under quarantine at BGR camp quarantine center in Kudaloi of Lakhanpur Block. Their swabs were taken on the 23rd of July and tested positive on the 26th of July. The positive cases are asymptomatic ones. The positive cases are taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.

Case Number 7: The positive case is a 22 years old male and returned to Kudaloi BGR camp from Sundargarh district, after his arrival at BGR camp the positive case was under quarantine at BGR camp quarantine center. His swab was taken on the 23rd of July and tested positive on the 26th of July. The positive case is an asymptomatic one. The positive case has been taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.
