Jharsuguda district reports five new COVID-19 positive cases in last 24 hours, tally reaches to 212

NFTV:Odisha:Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda district reports five new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, tally reaches 212 in the district, according to the Information and Public Relations department government of Odisha. All the positive cases are asymptomatic. Meanwhile, out of 207 total 163 patients are recovered and 49 cases are active now.

02 cases from Brajrajnagar Municipality, 02 cases are from Jharsuguda Municipality, 01 case from Jharsuguda Block.

Cases are from Brajrajnagar Municipality

Case number 1 and 2: One couple from Brajrajanagar municipality tested positive for COVID 19. They are identified as 75 years old male and 72 years old female from Katabaga locality of Brajrajnagar municipality. They were returned to heir village from Burla on the 14th of July in their own car. After their arrival, the couple is under home quarantine. Swabs were taken on the 15th of July for sample test on the 17 of July the couple tested positive for COVID-19. Both the cases are asymptomatic and they are taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.

Cases are from Jharsuguda Municipality

Case number 3: A 24 years old male who was returned to Jharsuguda from Balasore district of Odisha. After her arrival in Jharsuguda on the 08th of July, he was under paid quarantine at Hotel Yogendra, Jharuguda. His swab was collected 15th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 17th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and he has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.

Case number 4: A 33 years old male who was returned to Jharsuguda from Sasaram of Bihar. After her arrival in Jharsuguda on the 12th of July, he was under paid quarantine at Hotel Amar, Jharuguda. His swab was collected 15th of July and the sample tested positive for COVID-19 on the 17th of July 2020. The case is an asymptomatic one and he has taken to dedicated COVID facilities and contact tracing is in progress.

Case from Jharsuguda Block

Case number 5: The positive case is a 12 years old female, The case is a contact case of a previous case. The case was under home quarantine at Talpatia village comes under the Jharuguda Block. Her swab was collected on the 15th of July and she was tested positive for COVID-19 on the 15th of July. The case is an asymptomatic one. The patient has been taken to a dedicated COVID facility. Contact tracing is in progress.
