Man tested positive for COVID-19 while undergoing treatment for fever and cough at DHH, Jharsuguda

NFTV:Odisha:Jharsuguda: A 54 years old man tested positive for COVID-19 while he is undergoing treatment for fever, cough, and weakness at District Headquarter Hospital, Jharsuguda today. Confirmed by ADMO, Jharsuguda.

The 54 years old male has been admitted at DHH, Jharsuguda today morning around 9 AM after complaining fever and cough along with weakness. He was admitted to the general ward of DHH and got allotted bed number 36. The person has been treated by doctors and attended by nurses and attendants, but the biggest question is how a person having symptoms like COVID-19 got admitted in the general ward in spite of the isolation ward ? This shows the callousness of the DHH authorities as they have admitted a fever and cough affected person in the general ward which later tested positive. The swabs of the person taken on the 23rd of July and he is tested positive on the 26th of July, later the positive case has been taken to the dedicated COVID facility for further treatment. The positive case actually belongs to Sambalpur district but he is residing in Jharsuguda.
