NFTV : Odisha : Sambalpur: Missing woman found buried in Sambalpur of Odisha. A woman named Arti Devi (19), who went missing from Bahalpada village comes under Dhanupali Police Station in Sambalpur from January 1, the body of the missing woman was found buried following which Dhanupali Police exhumed the decomposed body from the location of the crime .

Kunal Singh ( husband of missing woman Arti Devi ) had reportedly filed a missing complaint with Dhanupali Police on January 3 two days after his wife went missing,

When deceased Arati’s parents reached Bahalpada village from Bihar, after getting information about her missing, they have seen that Kunal Singh and his other family members had fled from Sambalpur. Later, suspecting foul play, they lodged an FIR at Mahila Police Station against Kunal Singh and his family members on January 7th.

In their FIR, deceased Arti Devi’s family members had alleged that their daughter has been murdered by her husband Kunal Singh and in-laws. on the basis of the complaint, police started the investigation and arrested Kunal and his elder brother while other family members are still at absconding. During the interrogation, the accused husband Kunal Singh confessed that they murdered Arti Devi and buried the body in nearby Jungle.

“Based on the information given by the accused, Dhanupali police rushed to spot and dug out the woman’s decomposed body. The body will be sent to the hospital for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway,” says Sambalpur Additional Superintendent of Police.
