NFTV:Jharsuguda: A couple died of a road accident while returning home after giving Diwali gift to their daughter near Sahasbaga Chak of Lakhanpur Block in the Jharsuguda district. According to reports, Rama Krushna Sa and his wife Sabita Sa after giving Diwali gifts to their daughter, who is studying in Katarbaga High School and staying in the Hostel there. The couple was returning home a speeding truck run over the couple. The couple died on the spot. After the accident, angry locals blocked the NH-49 demanding compensation for the next of kin of the deceased and strict action against rash drivers. SDPO Dilip Das and a team of Lakhanpur police have reached the spot and held discussions with the agitators.
