“As Mahatma Gandhi had visited Jharsuguda, so the land of this town would always belong to Gandhi. And Jharsuguda cannot be under the clutch of alcoholism, communalism, corruption as Gandhian philosophy always advocates a society free from vices and communalism. But sadly these Gandhian philosophies are under the threat of being abolished. We must try to save our Gandhian philosophy at all cost”, these were the statements by the speakers who have come in a rally from the late Tanti’s house where Gandhi had stayed for few days during his Jharsuguda visit. The rally which was organized by Gandhi Peace Foundation is a part of the prospective rally which would meet at Suando of Puri district on 30th January. The Jharsuguda rally after leaving late Tanti’s house, later gathered at Jhanda chowk where people from all walks of life participated in it.
