NFTV : Odisha: Sambalpur: Another picnic mishap reported in Debjharan waterfall in Sambalpur of Odisha. Today Two engineering students of VSSUT ( Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology ) Burla, drowned while they were bathing in Debjharan Waterfall under Jujumara police station in on. The deceased students were identified as Soumya Ranjan Beurea and Abhijit Samal. According to reports, around forty students of the computer science department of VSSUT had gone for a picnic to Debjharan Waterfall.

However, few students accidentally slipped into the deep water while bathing in the waterfall another student jumped into the water and tried to save the drowning classmate but unable to rescue him and both the student drowns and died, after getting the information of the incident local came and started rescue operation but it was too late. Both the students died later their bodies were fished out from the waterfall.
