Two young ladies were critically injured after falling from the Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express train at Bagdihi station of Jharsuguda district.

NFTV:Jharsuguda: Two young ladies were critically injured critically after they falling from the Puri Haridwar Utkal Express train near Bagdehi railway station in Jharsuguda district on Monday. Both victims have been identified as Jyotsna Naik (20) and Dhanamati Majhi (19).

According to the locals, both the ladies have boarded the Utkal Express at Bamra railway station to travel to Bagdihi, but they have forgotten that Utkal Express has no stoppage at Bagdihi Railway Station after got to know this both the ladies tried to deboard and jumped from the moving train at Bagdihi station at around 11.30 AM. While Jyotsna Naik lost her leg in the incident, Dhanamati sustained head injuries. the duo rescued by locals and railway officials and initially taken to district headquarters hospital, Jharsuguda. Later, they were shifted to VIMSAR Burla as their health condition deteriorated.
