Youth run over by truck while trying to escape from police custody in Rayagada

NFTV:Odisha:Rayagada: Arrested youth run-over by truck in front of Rayagada Police Station while allegedly trying to escape from custody; the youth was arrested by Tikiri Police on the alledged betrayal and attack to a young woman who was brought to Rayagada Police station ahead of his appearance in court . While sitting inside the Rayagada Police Station, the concerned youth complained of nauseousness and wanted to vomit. On that note police allowed him to go outside of police station building but the youth tried to escape and meanwhile was hit by a container truck. The critically injured youth admitted in the district hospital who was declared brought dead by doctors. The deseased is identified as Santosh Kumar Pandu and a resident of Panasaguda village under Bisama Cuttack block of Rayagada district of Odisha.Now question arises as to how the callousness of police could lead to the death of a youth that too in front of police station.
